Go tiny. Live large.

Compact wooden homes that give time, tranquility and nature back to you.

GRÖNA HUSET

GRÖNA HUSET is a tiny house design company rooted in slow living, thoughtful design and a deep connection to nature. Our compact wooden homes are designed to bring calm and clarity, with smart layouts, generous natural light, and materials chosen for their beauty, longevity and low environmental impact.

Designed for a range of uses, from garden studios and private student rooms to home offices, guest houses and peaceful holiday cabins, GRÖNA HUSET tiny houses integrate naturally into gardens, campsites and rural landscapes. They can be placed on wheels or elevated on legs, and are crafted off-site to minimise on-site disruption, on or off-grid.

The result is not just a place to stay, but a considered way of living, simpler, more intentional and built to last.

ABOUT

GRÖNA HUSET was founded by Josefin Ljungberg de Jager, a Swedish interior designer based in Amsterdam, specialising in small-space living.

Raised in Sweden, Josefin grew up with a close relationship to nature, where time outdoors is part of everyday life rather than something reserved for holidays. This culture of open-air living and respect for the land continues to influence her work. Her design approach is rooted in Scandinavian principles of simplicity, functionality and material honesty, focusing on efficient layouts, purposeful details and spaces that feel calm, practical and enduring.

For Josefin, time in nature is not just an escape from the daily grind, but a way to restore clarity and focus. GRÖNA HUSET grew from that belief, creating compact, well-designed tiny houses that bring tranquility, space and a connection to nature into everyday life.

“I believe a small space works best when every detail is in harmony with how you live.”

FEATURES / LIVING SPACE

The living space is designed as a flexible, multi-functional area that adapts throughout the day. A place to eat, relax, gather or host friends. Carefully considered proportions, generous ceiling height and large windows create a strong connection to the outdoors and enhance the sense of space.

CALM BY
DESIGN

Natural materials such as bamboo and cork bring warmth and texture, while built-in solutions keep the space calm and uncluttered.

ADJUSTABLE
TABLE

A custom high–low table designed in-house, adjusts from coffee table to dining height and seats up to six. Available to order.

FEATURES / KITCHEN

The kitchen is designed to support daily life without visual clutter. Everything has its place, so cooking feels intuitive rather than cramped. A monochrome palette and integrated storage create a space that feels orderly and calm.

EXTRA SURFACES

Extra countertop allows the kitchen to expand when cooking together, then disappears to keep the space open.

DESIGNED
TO DISAPPEAR

A built-in desk folds out to create a workspace when needed. Positioned by the window, it offers the calm and clarity that come from working closer to nature.

“My designs support daily life quietly, so everything you need has a place and nothing gets in the way.”

FEATURES / SLEEPING ZONE

There are three separate, compact rooms that sleep up to six people in total. Each room offers privacy, storage and natural light. Inspired by Japanese capsule hotels, the design balances privacy with smart use of space, creating small rooms that feel purposeful rather than confined.

MAIN BEDROOM

A compact room with a generous window that keeps a strong connection to the outdoors. Storage is integrated above and below the bed, with hanging solutions to keep the space uncluttered. Additional storage beneath the bed is accessible from outside, ideal for outdoor cushions or seasonal items, keeping interior space calm and clear.

LOWER
BEDROOM
CAPSULE

UPPER BEDROOM CAPSULE

Compact and comfortable, each bedroom capsule functions as its own small room. The built-in storage keeps everyday essentials close while maintaining visual calm. The design is all about making every centimetre work smarter, together.

The tiny house shown in the photos is 19 m². More models and colours are available. Contact me for more information.
